Redesign DAO
Redesign DAO lets GPs change the DAO's public data — its name, GP token symbol (ticker), and logo — without recreating the DAO itself. Changes are applied selectively: you mark which fields need updating, and the rest stay unchanged.
Use Redesign DAO to:
- fix a typo or update the DAO's name;
- change the GP token symbol;
- replace the DAO's logo (avatar).
To change the DAO's configuration:
Open your DAO. You can launch Redesign DAO in two ways: click Create Proposal on the Votes tab and select the Redesign DAO type, or click the Redesign DAO button directly on the Overview tab.
Check the boxes for what you want to change: DAO name, Token symbol, and/or Avatar. You need to select at least one item — otherwise the proposal won't be created.
An input field will appear next to the DAO's current value for each item you checked:
- New DAO name — the DAO's new name;
- New token symbol — the new GP token symbol;
- Avatar — the new logo image (uploaded the same way as in other forms with an avatar).
Review the proposal's title and description, edit them if needed, and set the Voting Duration — the period during which GPs can vote (2 days by default).
Click Create Proposal to submit the proposal for voting.
GPs vote on the proposal. Once general consensus is reached, the proposal is executed on-chain: the DAO's metadata is updated, and the new name, symbol, and/or logo appear on the DAO page and everywhere else in the interface that displays them.
Redesign DAO doesn't change the DAO's description — that's edited separately, outside this proposal. Only the DAO's name, GP token symbol, and logo change.
