Enable Crowdfunding Support
Before a DAO can install the Crowdfunding Module and launch campaigns, its contracts need a one-time upgrade. This is done through the Enable Crowdfunding Support vote (enable_crowdfunding_support).
This is a one-time upgrade. If the DAO has already gone through it, there's no need to create this vote again — go straight to Install Crowdfunding Module.
A DAO's crowdfunding readiness goes through three stages: Upgrade Required (the upgrade hasn't been performed yet) → Module Required (the upgrade is done, the LP Manager isn't installed yet) → Ready (campaigns can be created, provided a Sub-Wallet is also installed).
To perform the upgrade:
Open your DAO and create a new vote (Create Proposal), selecting the Enable Crowdfunding Support type.
Check the vote's title and description — they're set automatically and can't be edited, since this is a technical contract upgrade.
Specify the Voting Duration — the period during which GPs can vote.
Click Create Proposal. The vote will appear on your DAO's Votes tab.
GPs vote on the proposal; once general consensus is reached, it's executed: the DAO's contracts are upgraded, and the DAO's status moves to Module Required — at which point the Install Crowdfunding Module vote becomes available.
